Cliczen - Responsible, humane and sustainable computing

At Cliczen, we believe that a company is defined not only by its services, but also by its impact on society and the environment. As a local IT player in Geneva, we integrate the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into all our activities.

Environment: towards more sustainable computing

• Reducing the digital footprint: we favour lightweight, optimised solutions with low energy consumption.
• Reconditioning & recycling: we encourage our customers to extend the life of their equipment and work with local partners for responsible reconditioning, such as the association Réalise and Mobilitri for the safe and sustainable recycling of electronic equipment.​
• Remote maintenance: our remote interventions reduce travel and therefore CO₂ emissions. By reducing car journeys by 40%, one person saves around 921.6 kg of CO₂ per year, or almost one tonne of CO₂ avoided every year.
• Travel: We favour soft mobility: 95% of our journeys are made by bicycle. The estimated saving is around 2,188.8 kg of CO₂ per year - or more than 2 tonnes of CO₂ avoided each year.

Social: respect, inclusion and well-being

• Humane working conditions: we promote a flexible, respectful and balanced working environment.
• Ongoing training: we invest in developing the skills of our team and our customers.
• Digital accessibility: we strive to make our services understandable and accessible to everyone, including senior citizens and people who are less comfortable with technology.

Ethics & data: transparency and security

• Data protection: We rigorously apply the new Federal Law on Data Protection (nLPD), in line with the best practices learnt during specialist training with the association Clusis. This approach is part of our drive to guarantee transparency, security and respect for the fundamental rights of all our stakeholders.
• Transparency: our customers know how their data is used, stored and protected.
• Responsible cyber security: we use tried-and-tested tools (such as Bitdefender) and educate our customers about best practice.

Engagement local

• Anchored in Geneva: we work with local partners and suppliers.
• Support for the self-employed and SMEs: we tailor our services to meet the specific needs of small organisations.
• Donations: We are also affirming our local commitment by actively supporting the Dance Academy Bellerive since the creation of Cliczen, contributing to the cultural dynamism and development of young talent in our region.

CSR at Cliczen is a living process. We regularly evaluate our practices, listen to our stakeholders and adjust our strategy to maximise our positive impact.
